目的:研究不同垂直骨面型错合畸形患者颈椎姿势的特点及差异,为正畸矫治错合畸形获得较好的临床效果及颅面、颈部生长发育的研究提供一定的参考依据。方法:采用计算机辅助X线头影测量技术,对226例不同垂直骨面型的儿童、成人在自然头位时拍摄的头颅定位侧位片进行测量研究,分别比较儿童以及成人不同垂直骨面型间颈椎姿势的差异。结果:儿童:CVT-OPT、SN-CP、SN-OPT及SN-CVT在低、均、高角各组间的差别均无统计学意义。成人:CVT-OPT在低角组与高角组间、均角组与高角组间的差别有统计学意义,高角组低于低角组和均角组,在低角组与均角组间的差别无统计学意义;SN-CP在低、均、高角各组间的差别有统计学意义,低角组〈均角组〈高角组;SN-OPT及SN-CVT在低角组与高角组间的差别有统计学意义,低角组〈高角组,在低角组与均角组间、均角组与高角组间的差别无统计学意义。结论:不同垂直骨面型错合畸形患者的颈椎姿势在儿童无显著差异,在成人差异显著。  相似文献

Abstract:  Shallow marine, nearshore strata of earliest Campanian ( Gonioteuthis granulataquadrata belemnite Zone) and latest Early Campanian (informal Belemnellocamax mammillatus belemnite zone) age in the Kristianstad Basin, southern Sweden, have yielded isolated leptoceratopsid teeth and vertebrae, representing the first record of horned dinosaurs from Europe. The new leptoceratopsid occurrence may support a European dispersal route for the Leptoceratopsidae, or may represent an entirely endemic population. The presence of leptoceratopsid teeth in shallow marine deposits contradicts previous hypotheses suggesting that basal neoceratopsians mainly preferred arid and/or semi-arid habitats far from coastal areas.  相似文献

Medaka (O. latipes) and zebrafish (D. rerio) are two teleost fish increasingly used as models to study human skeletal diseases. Although they are similar in size, swimming pattern and many other characteristics, these two species are very distant from an evolutionary point of view (by at least 100 million years). A prominent difference between the skeletons of medaka and zebrafish is the total absence of osteocytes in medaka (anosteocytic), while zebrafish bone contains numerous osteocytes (osteocytic). This fundamental difference suggests the possibility that the bony elements of their skeleton may be different in a variety of other aspects, structural, mechanical or both, particularly in heavily loaded bones like the vertebrae. Here we report on the results of a comparative study that aimed to determine the similarities and differences in medaka and zebrafish vertebrae in terms of their macro- to nanostructure, composition and mechanical properties. Our results reveal many similarities between medaka and zebrafish vertebrae, making the lack or presence of osteocytes the only major difference between the bones of these two species.  相似文献

Collagens are the most abundant proteins in the animal kingdom. They form the structural framework of connective tissues such as bones, tendons and skin, and play important biomechanical role in supporting tissue functions. The preservation of collagen in deep time is a topic of intense debate. Here we provide indisputable evidence for the presence of collagen in early Eocene fish vertebrae using online pyrolysis comprehensive two dimensional gas chromatography time-of-flight mass spectrometry (py-GC×GC-TOFMS) and immunofluorescence analysis. The presence of cyclic dipeptides such as diketodipyrrole, 2,5-diketopiperazine of proline-proline and 2,5-diketopiperazine of proline-glycine along with other nitrogen-bearing molecules in the pyrolysis products of the studied fossils unequivocally demonstrate that collagen can withstand degradation and diagenetic alteration. Immunofluorescence study also confirms the presence of collagen-I in the fossilized fish vertebrae. Contrary to common opinion, the present findings suggest that the preservation of collagen in fossilized soft tissues is not rare. We propose that one of the essential factors controlling preservation of collagen is the establishment of a suitable microenvironment within the fossil, inhibiting diagenetic alteration including microbial decay.  相似文献

A quantitative study of morphological and histological changes in the skeleton (cranial bones and vertebrae) of adult Atlantic salmon Salmo salar during its anadromous migration was performed in order to specify various aspects of its skeletal biology in relationship to this migration. At the beginning of the ascent, there was no morphological difference in the cranial bones between males and females. As the spawning season approached, males showed marked secondary sexual characters particularly allometric breeding growth of some bones of the skull. The histological analysis of the vertebral bone tissue along the vertebral axis showed that bone compacity and number of trabeculae vary depending on their localization on the vertebral axis. Moreover, bone compacity decreased significantly with the sexual maturation of the fish whereas the number of trabeculae grew in both sexes. Thus, the vertebrae (like scales) represent an important source of calcium and other elements during anadromous migration in Atlantic salmon.  相似文献

Minimally invasive surgeries aiming to restore fractured vertebral body are increasing; therefore, our goals were to create a 3D vertebra reconstruction process and design clinical indices to assess the vertebral restoration in terms of heights, angles and volumes. Based on computed tomography (CT)-scan of the vertebral spine, a 3D reconstruction method as well as relevant clinical indices were developed. First, a vertebra initial solution requiring 5 min of manual adjustments is built. Then an image processing algorithm places this solution in the CT-scan images volume to adjust the model's nodes. On the vertebral body's anterior and posterior parts, nine robust heights, volume and endplate angle measurement methods were developed. These parameters were evaluated by reproducibility and accuracy studies. The vertebral body reconstruction accuracy was 1.0 mm; heights and volume accuracy were, respectively, 1.2 and 179 mm3. In conclusion, a 3D vertebra reconstruction process requiring little user time was proposed as well as 3D clinical indices assessing fractured and restored vertebra.  相似文献

Salamander tail autotomy improves survival, but loss of the tail can subsequently be costly. For example, burst swimming speed is significantly slower after autotomy in desmognathan salamanders, which may increase predation risk in aquatic habitats. However, any long-term cost of tail loss is contingent on the rate of tail regeneration. To examine variation among seasons and environments in the cost of tail autotomy, we tested the effect of temperature, photoperiod, and feeding on tail-length re-growth in the semiaquatic plethodontid salamander Desmognathus conanti. Eight experimental groups (n=15 each, equivalent in body size) were tested. After acclimation for four weeks at one of two temperatures (either 10 °C or 20 °C) and one of two photoperiods (either L:D 9.5:14.5 h or 14.5:9.5 h), 60% of the tail length was autotomized for each individual. After autotomy, each experimental group was maintained under unique conditions of temperature (either 10 °C or 20 °C), photoperiod (either L:D 9.5:14.5 h or 14.5:9.5 h), and feeding (either fasting or weekly feeding). The length of the regenerated tail portion for each individual was measured each week until the group with the fastest re-growth had regenerated 50% of the lost tail length. Low temperature had a large, negative effect, fasting had a small, negative effect, but photoperiod had no significant effect on tail re-growth. The large thermal effect resulted from a combination of delayed initiation of tail-length re-growth and reduced regeneration rate thereafter at low temperature. We conclude that the cost of salamander tail autotomy differs among seasons and environments based on variation in temperature and food availability.  相似文献

Within Diplodocoidea (Dinosauria: Sauropoda), phylogenetic position of the three subclades Rebbachisauridae, Dicraeosauridae, and Diplodocidae is strongly influenced by a relatively small number of characters. Neural spine bifurcation, especially within the cervical vertebrae, is considered to be a derived character, with taxa that lack this feature regarded as relatively basal. Our analysis of dorsal and cervical vertebrae from small‐sized diplodocoids (representing at least 18 individuals) reveals that neural spine bifurcation is less well developed or absent in smaller specimens. New preparation of the roughly 200‐cm long diplodocid juvenile Sauriermuseum Aathal 0009 reveals simple nonbifurcated cervical neural spines, strongly reminiscent of more basal sauropods such as Omeisaurus. An identical pattern of ontogenetically linked bifurcation has also been observed in several specimens of the basal macronarian Camarasaurus, suggesting that this is characteristic of several clades of Sauropoda. We suggest that neural spine bifurcation performs a biomechanical function related to horizontal positioning of the neck that may become significant only at the onset of a larger body size, hence, its apparent absence or weaker development in smaller specimens. These results have significant implications for the taxonomy and phylogenetic position of taxa described from specimens of small body size. On the basis of shallow bifurcation of its cervical and dorsal neural spines, the small diplodocid Suuwassea is more parsimoniously interpreted as an immature specimen of an already recognized diplodocid taxon. Our findings emphasize the view that nonmature dinosaurs often exhibit morphologies more similar to their ancestral state and may therefore occupy a more basal position in phylogenetic analyses than would mature specimens of the same species. In light of this, we stress the need for phylogenetic reanalysis of sauropod clades where vital characters may be ontogenetically variable, particularly when data is derived from small individuals. Summary The innervation of the caudal neurosecretory system of Poecilia sphenops (black molly) was studied by use of the retrograde horseradish peroxidase (HRP) method. The structure of the caudal neurosecretory system in this species was well suited for application of HRP procedures. Acrylamide/HRP gel implants were placed in the nucleus of the caudal neurosecretory system. Two neuronal groups which contained HRP filled cells were found in the brain stem.
